Since August 2023 we have been registered by the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Registered Charity No. 1204316).

 

Our objectives as a charity are to advance the education and appreciation of the public in the Art and Science of Brass Band music by the provision of public concerts and training of persons in the study of playing brass band instruments.

Our Current Challenge

​

We are committed to modernising, including the acquisition of additional percussion instruments (which is often call for in modern brass band arrangements).

​

 

This along with our fortunate surplus of players and a flourishing training band (Bret Set Go) and beginners' group, has resulted in the outgrowing of our current band room.

​

It's become logistically very difficult to accommodate everyone during rehearsals, with our percussion cramped and storage space bursting at the seams.

​

Our Vision for a New Band Rehearsal Room

​

• Ample Storage:  With designated spaces for instruments, equipment, and a dedicated room for 

  our library and office.

 

• Generous Rehearsal Space:  Ensuring there's room for the entire band and percussion section to

  practise comfortably.

​

• Convenient Facilities:  Modern amenities, including ample parking, side rooms for teaching, and

  a garage/storage area for our band trailer.

 

• Pleasant Surroundings:  A touch of greenery with gardens for social events, providing a

  welcoming space for all.

Our Commitment to the Community

We take pride in our role within the community. From offering free music lessons to fundraising for charity and participating in significant local events, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of those around us.

 

We see our new bandroom as a way to strengthen our bonds and secure our legacy for future generations.

Just as those before us laid the foundation for our band, we believe it is now our responsibility to secure its future.

 

We believe that by creating a space that belongs to the band as an asset, reflects our values and meets our needs, we can continue to thrive and inspire for years to come.
