All the members and supporters of Bretforton Silver Band were deeply saddened to learn that George Byrd had passed away. George only retired as a playing member 4 years ago after achieving a remarkable 64 yrs service to the band. He was a life member and was held in great esteem. We have many fond memories of him as a quiet, funny, loyal bandsman and a good friend. The band feel privileged to have played a part in his funeral service and our sympathy goes to his wife Gill and all the family. Rest in Peace George you will be missed.
