	BRETFORTON SILVER BAND SUPPORTER'S CLUB Over many years the band has benefited from numerous friends who work behind the scenes to raise money. In recent years the Bands Supporter's Club has played a leading role in doing this and makes itself available to help with raffles and stewarding at band events. It has its own committee and draws on band supporters across the Vale to help, especially at its annual fund-raising event - the Band Supporters' Fete - held at the Fleece Inn, at the end of August. Many of the band's instruments and uniforms have been replaced or added to from funds generated by the annual asparagus auction, the many concerts and our own fete. This year the Supporters' Club are hitting a low note, so to speak, focusing on a Bass Fund to replace the Bass instruments (costing approximately £6000 each - and the band needs four of them!). This amounts to an awful lot of loose change, so any and all donations are very much appreciated and help to secure the bands future.
